Student Activities

Student Council
Representatives are chosen from third, fourth, and fifth grade classes. They engage
in service activities like "Wee Deliver" (a school-wide mail service), fund raisers for
charities, school tours for new students, greeting and ushering at special events, etc.

Literary Club
Fourth and fifth graders meet every other week to discuss quality literature. A team
of students from the club participates in the district "Battle of the Books."

Safety Patrol
Students in the fifth grade volunteer to assist the safety directors before and after
school to make sure that Mill Street students are safe.

Computer Club
Fourth and fifth graders meet bi-weekly to work on personal projects in the LRC
computer lab.

Environmental Club
Students work to maintain the outdoor growing areas on school grounds and to
increase environmental awareness of the school community.

Band and Orchestra
These groups are open to fourth and fourth and fifth grade students who would like to learn to play musical instruments. Group lessons are held during the school day, and practices are held at lunch weekly.

Intramural basketball
This is offered to all fifth grade boys and girls during basketball season.
